Scroll down to see a diary list of workshops I am running at my home studio in Leicester (LE3 2EJ). The studio was purpose-built in 2013 and is situated just 2 miles from M1 Junction 21 or a short taxi ride from Leicester bus or train stations. I have limited space available for dinner, bed & breakfast at a nominal cost for those travelling from afar for whom budgets are limited – please email me for more details and availability.
Each workshop will have a maximum group size of six to eight and will include refreshments. Any items that you will need to bring with you will be listed in the workshop description, everything else will be provided. Photos are illustrative of the workshop and may not be exactly what you’ll end up with (unless otherwise stated).
For all workshops payment is required in advance: either with credit card payments via Paypal using the ‘buy now’ button, or you can telephone me to arrange a direct bank transfer or cash payment (sorry, no cheques). Each workshop needs to be paid for separately at the moment. More than one place can be booked after pushing the ‘buy now’ button, just adjust the number of places you want in the PayPal box that appears. Terms and conditions are below the workshop list. If there is no ‘buy now’ button, the workshop is fully booked – please email me if you’d like to be placed on the waiting list.

Craft Evening/Stashbuster Clinics
7:30pm – 10pm, Tuesday evenings, £5 and/or
10am-12:30pm, Wednesday mornings, £5
An informal session of crafting [cards, scrapping, knitting/crochet, jewellery, quilting, painting etc.] in the studio. Bring along your own project, or some stash you don’t know what to do with/equipment you’ve forgotten how to use, and I’ll see what we can do with it. Includes refreshments and use of studio equipment/some materials. You’re also invited to peruse my craft library/magazines while you’re here.

Cards That Move II
10am-4pm, Saturday 7th June 2014, £25
We’ll be making three or four cards that move – exact cards to be available soon. They may flip, have hidden sections, slide, spin or pop, but something on them will move. You will need to bring craft kit essentials, such as scissors, knife, ruler but everything else will be included. Refreshments will be provided, please bring your own lunch.

JULY 2014
Punched Paper Flower Art
10am-4pm, Saturday 5th July 2014, £30
Punched paper doesn’t have to be two dimensional. During this workshop you will learn all the techniques you need to form paper posies of crafted flowers – never buy another floral embellishment, make your own! You will need to bring craft kit essentials, such as scissors, knife, ruler but everything else will be included. Refreshments will be provided, please bring your own lunch.

AUGUST 2014
Powertex Sculpture Techniques – two day workshop
10am-4pm, Saturday & Sunday 2nd-3rd August 2014, £95
You will use Powertex, a specialist fabric hardener, to create a unique statue and sculpture. You will learn how to make a statue from old T-shirts, and a stone-effect sculpture, as well as ageing and colouring techniques. This is a two-day workshop – D,B&B available for nominal fee if required (two rooms). Please wear old clothes and footwear as any Powertex splashes will stain/adhere to them. Bring an old cotton t-shirt, if you have one, to cut up and use for your statue. Aprons and latex-free gloves will be available to use if required. Refreshments will be provided, please bring your own lunches.

SEPTEMBER 2014
Tim Holtz Style Wall Hanging
10am-1pm, Saturday 6th September 2014, £35
A step-by-step workshop putting together a wall hanging in the Tim Holtz grunge style. You’ll be using distress markers, distress inks and distress stains as well as loads of his idea-ology range of products. All materials are included. Kits may be available after the session if not all places are sold.

OCTOBER 2014
Printing for Crafters – Drypoint
10am-4pm, Saturday 11th October 2014, £30
This experimental workshop uses kit that most crafters have in their craft rooms to create drypoint prints – we’ll etch a plate, ink it up and print copies. There will be time for colouring prints as well. It would be helpful to have a sketch or line drawing, or a photo to trace for your initial etching. All other materials and equipment will be provided, though if you have your own die cutting or embossing machine, it may be helpful to bring it with you. Wearing old clothes/short sleeves may be useful as the printing ink will stain, aprons and gloves will be available for use. Refreshments provided, please bring your own lunch.

NOVEMBER 2014
Papercraft Advent Village
10am-4pm, Saturday 1st November 2014, £35
Create a paper craft advent high street using chipboard die cuts, Christmas papers, paint and ink, stamping and embossing. All materials are included. Kits may be available after the session if not all places are sold. Refreshments provided, please bring your own lunch.

A Shabby Chic Christmas
10am-4pm, Saturday 29th November 2014, £30
Create cards, decorations and garlands for Christmas in a shabby chic style. You’ll be painting, embossing, inking, stamping and weathering as you create a Christmas collection. All materials are included. Refreshments and mince pies provided, please bring your own lunch.
